26 mines, A to Z. Each one pays better and costs more to reach.
- Mine A is free and always open
- /rankup when you can afford the next letter
- Every mine refills on a timer, so nobody mines out a shell
Fractured Skies is a classic, non-pay-to-win Minecraft prison server for Java and Bedrock at play.fractured-skies.world. There are no wipes, and nothing in the store makes you mine faster.
Java 1.21 and newer Bedrock & console
The Prison
Mine A to Z and prestige a hundred times. Tokens, custom enchants, plot mines, crates, gangs, KOTH, bosses and events fill the space in between.
26 mines, A to Z. Each one pays better and costs more to reach.
Hit Z, hand back your rank, and start at A with a permanent multiplier. A hundred times.
Blocks drop tokens. Tokens buy enchants, multipliers and tags in the token shop.
Enchants vanilla does not have, on the pickaxe you mine with and the sword you fight with.
Claim a plot, run a mine of your own on it, and put plot miners to work in it.
Sell to players instead of the shop, then settle the argument with a coin flip.
Keys come from events, bosses and the vote shop. Seasonal crates rotate, then close.
Up to eight players, a shared vault, and a gang level everyone contributes to.
One warp, a PvP mine that only opens when someone activates it, and a point worth holding.
Fight the server's bosses for their loot, or swallow a boss pill and become one.
Custom events all season, including a space mine that opens in the End.

FAQ
A prison server turns mining into a ladder. Everyone starts in the same jail, in Mine A, with a stone pickaxe. You mine blocks, sell them for in-game cash, and spend that cash on the next rank, which unlocks the next mine. There are 26 mines, A to Z. Once you reach Z you can prestige: your rank resets to A and you keep a permanent sell bonus, so the second run through the alphabet is faster than the first. The prison guide covers each step.
Yes. You need Minecraft, Java Edition or Bedrock, and nothing else. Rank-ups, tokens, custom enchants, crate keys, plot mines and everything else in the prison are paid for with what you earn in game.
Tokens and a token shop, custom enchants on pickaxes and weapons, sell multipliers and tags, nukes that clear a whole mine, plot mines worked by plot miners, an auction house with coin flips and item flips, crates and seasonal crates, gangs of up to eight, KOTH and a PvP mine at /warp pvp, bosses and boss pills, and custom events such as the space mine in the End. Every system, one page each.
No. Nothing in the store changes how fast you mine or what your blocks sell for. It sells chat tags and colours, particle trails, cosmetic pets, extra homes and player vaults, more auction listings and a priority queue. Tokens, custom enchants, multipliers, nukes, crate keys, boss pills and plot mines are all earned in game and none of them are for sale. The store policy lists every item.
No. Mine ranks A to Z and prestige levels are earned by mining and cannot be bought, gifted or transferred. The premium ranks in the store, Ember, Ash and Cinder, are a separate cosmetic and convenience ladder; they sit alongside your mine rank and never move it.
100. You unlock the first at Mine Z, and each one takes your rank back to A and your balance to zero in exchange for a permanent sell bonus. Your tokens, your enchanted pickaxe, your plot mine and your cosmetics are never touched. It is built as a long grind, and nobody can buy a single prestige. How prestige works.
Tokens drop from the blocks you break and are spent in the token shop on custom enchants for your pickaxe and weapons, sell multipliers, chat tags and nukes. They are a separate currency from prison cash, which is what pays for /rankup, and prestiging never takes them. Vote tokens are a third thing again, spent only in /voteshop. Tokens, multipliers and tags.
Only where you choose it. /warp pvp is the one place players can fight each other: there is none in the mines or at spawn, where you spend most of your time. Inside the warp there is a PvP mine that does not refill on a timer, but opens when somebody uses an activator on it and stays open until it is mined out, and a KOTH capture point that pays whoever holds it. How PvP and KOTH work.
An item that turns you into the boss. Swallow one and the server hands you a kit with abilities on it that hit far harder than a player does, and everyone else on the server comes for you. Bosses that spawn on their own drop tokens, crate keys and gear to whoever does the damage. Pills come from crates, events and the token shop, and the store does not sell them. Bosses and boss pills.
No, and there is no plan to sell either. Crate keys come from events, KOTH, bosses, playtime milestones and the vote shop; tokens come out of the blocks you break. Crate keys, loot boxes and anything else with a random reward are banned by the store's own catalog rules. Crates and seasonal crates.
Java Edition 1.21 and newer. Since 2026 Mojang numbers Java releases by year (26.1, 26.2 and so on), and those count as newer, so they can join. Use the latest release if you can, because that is the version we test against. Bedrock players join play.fractured-skies.world on port 19132.
Yes. On Windows, iOS and Android, add play.fractured-skies.world in the Servers tab with port 19132. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch only list featured servers, so on a console you join through a friend who is already online, from the Friends tab, or follow the console guide in Discord. The join page has the steps. In game, Bedrock names start with a dot.
No. Ranks, prestige, balances, tokens, enchants, plot mines and cosmetics are permanent. A season here is a window of themed events and seasonal crates, not a reset, and individual mines refilling on a timer is not a wipe either. Staff roll back items or balances only to undo an exploit or a bug. The no-wipes page lists what is permanent.
